'Troostplek' as 10th birthday present for the CosmoGolem of Bovy
On the 25th of April, Koen Vanmechelen’s CosmoGolem at Domein Bovy (Heusden Zolder) celebrates his 10th birthday. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot throw our Giant of Hope a birthday party but he is receiving a present.
His home is becoming a physical place of consolation – a Troostplek. Ferm is creating these green oases of peace and quiet, all over Flanders, accessible to everyone, who is looking for solace. In the middle of a flower field, stands the CosmoGolem, as a beacon of hope and the belief in a better future.
TROOSTPLEK
Deze plek is van ons.
Hier zijn we voor altijd het stille knisperen
In het schitterende ochtendlicht.
De ontluikende bloem, een eeuwige wind.
Dat enkel jij zo kijkt hoeven
We aan niemand uit te leggen.
Zwijgend leggen we onze handen
Als vanzelf, in elkaar.
Zie, je lacht
Want je weet vanzelfsprekend;
Hier is waar wij samen zijn.
